Shadow Warrior 2 (XBO) Review

Many Highs. One Big Lo.

HIGH Hilarious, breakneck gameplay that continually offers new variety.

LOW Player models pale in comparison to the effects and environments.

WTF Lo Wang begins to get a little grating by the ten-hour mark.

The Golf Club 2 Review

A Diamond In Some Deep Rough

HIGH A limitless amount of user-generated content, a very reasonable price point.

WTF Unforgivable graphical stutter on backswings that turns drives into crashes.

Xbox Live Recommendations For June 27, 2017

Xbox Live recommendations for June 30th 2017

Microsoft is doing a Summer sale (starting on the 30th and ending on the 10th of July), and there are some pretty good ones in there. People have probably already decided whether they want the big sellers like Gears of War and Dark Souls III, so my list focuses primarily on games that I’m guessing most people haven’t checked out, or may not even have heard of. Below is a brief blurb for each, and a link to a review (where possible) that should help with decisions.

Narcosis Review

Ghosts In The Shellfish

HIGH Top-notch tension in its opening hour.

LOW Dying ten times while trying to navigate one section.

WTF Should it really take this many stabs to kill a squid!?

This Is Not A Review: Everspace

Welcome to This Is Not A Review. In these articles we discuss general impressions, ideas and thoughts on any given game, but as the title implies, it’s not a review. Instead, it’s an exercise in offering a quick recommendation (or dismissal) after spending enough time to grasp the ideas and gameplay of a thing without necessarily playing it from A to Z.

The subject of this installment: Everspace, developed and published by Rockfish Games.

The Inner World Review

Pooh + Burton + Point-And-Click

HIGH The cutest voices and soundscape, and the animations are adorable.

LOW Trying to make point-and-click work with Xbox bumpers.

WTF Pairing a naked monk and a dirty barmaid to make a baby’s onesie.

Voodoo Vince Remastered Review

Cursed By Missed Opportunities

HIGH Humorous self-mutilation is fun. (Now there’s a sentence I’ve never written before.)

LOW Visuals from 2003. Innovation from 1903.

WTF Are there really this many bottomless pits in New Orleans?
