Longtime listeners of the old podcast might remember that Metroid Prime is my number one game of all time. While it isn’t a title I’ve had a lot of occasion to talk about publicly, Prime was actually what made me start to approach videogames as something more than toys, and it ultimately led to me finding GameCritics.
HIGH The atmosphere and sense of suspense is top-notch.
LOW Clunky and slow controls.
WTF Those Shrine Maidens scare the crap out of me.

HIGH The game creates (and requires) a tremendous amount of teamwork.
LOW The physics are too slippery to build some of the tougher towers.
WTF The dreadful wind and rain.
HIGH Barely surviving each level has never felt so good.
LOW The bosses are massive difficulty spikes on an already balls-hard game.
WTF An unlockable that changes the genre of the game. I love it!
HIGH Another chance to experience the underrated Mega Man 4 and 6.
LOW The omission of the underrated Mega Man 7.
WTF How are there fewer games than in the Mega Man Anniversary Collection?
HIGH The mini hub worlds are great test-courses for new heroes and powers
LOW Voicework pulled from the films does not work here
WTF Where did all the heroes go? No Spider-Man, X-Men or Fantastic Four?
HIGH Nagi's affinity quest. That certain cut-scene puts the main campaign to shame.
LOW A tie between the main story, the forced grinding, and anything to do with Lin.
WTF The bunny suits are more expensive than a war machine of capable of complete annihilation?
HIGH My ball returning by bursting through a window.
LOW How easy it is to drop out of the upper playfield on CastleStorm.
WTF Seriously, though, the gunslinger's name is Cindy?
