I agree with Chi's statement that Metal Gear Solid is a technical achievement for Game Boy. Konami did an excellent job porting an elaborate 32-bit 3-D game down to an 8-bit portable system. With that said, I felt the game was far less compelling than Chi did. I would find myself putting the game down after a game session and later having to force myself to pick it up, only because I wanted to get my money's worth.

All in all, Winback surprised me, it's faults like the graphics and music (Chi and I agree here) and AI (I think it needs some work) take it down a bit but they certainly don't ruin it. Often, I was able to do things, like a duck and roll for a sweet shot of an unsuspecting guard that looked real and certainly felt rewarding once I did it.
Winback may lack the team strategy elements of Rainbow Six, but what it does have is an innovative control scheme that maximizes the Nintendo 64 controller capabilities and allows for what I consider, for the first-time, the ability to manipulate a videogame character with real-world stealth techniques that are practically accurate.

As soon as I started up, I was greeted by all the awe and great feelings I had when I first picked the game up. I remembered every bit of hype that preceded its release and the amount of praise MGS received when its release finally came. VR Missions comes with 300 missions for me to complete and offers a few bonuses, which I'll get into later. All of the missions are fun and some are indeed very clever.
Holy Crap! It's amazing what passes for a game these days! Transplant the body of Snake into a puzzle game like Boxxle or Chip's Challenge and you might get some idea of what it is like to play VR Missions.
