NHL 2002 – Second Opinion
I agree with Mike that NHL 2002 is the closest you can get to the actual game of hockey on a console to date. But Im not sure that the game entirely succeeds in bringing the game of hockey to a videogame. Its close, but no cigar.

The Thing – Review
With the dawning of online play for consoles this year, a big selling point is that players will get the chance to interact with live people for an increased human element in games. The idea has merit, but in my opinion videogames that take place offline haven't done more than scratch the surface of offering similar experiences through simulation and programming.
Gun Metal – Review
Fans of Big Robots are in for a real treat if they happen to own the Xbox console. For some strange reason, Microsoft's black behemoth will be host to a virtual armada of mecha-themed games quite soon. With upcoming titles like Murakumo, Phantom Crash, Robotech: Battlecry and Steel Battalion (to name just a few) there won't be any shortage of missile-launching, jet-boosting, laser-sword-slicing fury. I'm really a bit mystified as to exactly why there will be so many on the Box as opposed to the other two consoles, but whatever the case, the invasion's first wave has just hit.
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (PC) – Review
It takes a particular kind of mindset to really enjoy a game like Morrowind. You really have to get what the designers are trying to do and understand why they avoid what seem like more obvious alternatives. Max Payne – Second Opinion
Looking at Max Payne, Im going to have to agree with nearly every point James made in his review, especially his view that the game falls short of being an "amazing, breakthrough" title. Is Bullet Time cool? Hell yes. Is it enough to carry an entire game? Hell no.
Tetris Worlds – Consumer Guide
Parents have absolutely nothing to fear. If there is a game that is safer and less offensive to play than Tetris, Id like someone to send me an email and let me know what it is. Gamers in general would be wise to add this game to their library if […]
Tetris Worlds – Review
With practically every influential console titles origins in Japan and an equal amount of groundbreaking PC titles cranked out across the seas in America, I find it a bit surprising that one of the worlds best video games, Tetris, came from Russia. Still, despite its surprising point of origin, why look the horse in the mouth? Any way you slice it, Tetris easily ranks among the worlds best titles. Looking at it objectively, few games can match its accessibility; almost anyone able to pick it up and play within seconds.
