For Great Justice!
HIGH Absolute tons of content to indulge in.
LOW I’ve suffered from a few hard crashes, including system lock-ups.
WTF Batman using a blameless bar patron as a weapon isn’t canon, surely?
During this year’s PAX West, I was invited to play a preview build of Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier, currently being developed by London-based studio Imaginati. In a general sense, it follows the footsteps of recent story-centric games similar to what Telltale Studios has been delivering lately, but it shows several key differences which got my attention.
I had a chance to get a hold of Relic’s upcoming Dawn of War III during their recent closed multiplayer-only beta, and I found myself torn. While there were changes and improvements I enjoyed, there were also some design decisions I found extremely questionable. Keeping in mind that this is technically a beta even if the game does release in a few weeks, I’m going to list a few of the pros and cons I came across in the handful of matches I got to play.
Ubisoft was recently kind enough to invite GameCritics to take a look at their upcoming knights vs. vikings vs. ninjas brawler For Honor. I was able to get my hands on a few missions from the campaign, and also went a few rounds in the multiplayer arenas. This was my first time ever playing the game, and it clearly showed as For Honor requires more than button mashing to master.
