United We Stand, Divided We Fall
HIGH There’s something for everyone.
LOW There’s something for everyone to complain about.
WTF How have I spent five whole days playing this game?
I had a chance to get a hold of Relic’s upcoming Dawn of War III during their recent closed multiplayer-only beta, and I found myself torn. While there were changes and improvements I enjoyed, there were also some design decisions I found extremely questionable. Keeping in mind that this is technically a beta even if the game does release in a few weeks, I’m going to list a few of the pros and cons I came across in the handful of matches I got to play.
Ubisoft was recently kind enough to invite GameCritics to take a look at their upcoming knights vs. vikings vs. ninjas brawler For Honor. I was able to get my hands on a few missions from the campaign, and also went a few rounds in the multiplayer arenas. This was my first time ever playing the game, and it clearly showed as For Honor requires more than button mashing to master.
Blizzard has made another round of changes to their smash team-based shooter Overwatch as of July 22nd. I love this game and I only play it on PS4, so let’s go over some of the new tweaks specific to the platform, shall we? By the way, I won’t be discussing every change in this latest patch, so for those who are curious about the entire list of tweaks, you can see the official PS4 patch notes here.
In the first part of this article, I covered Overwatch, Paragon, Hawken and Airmech Arena. You can find my brief impressions here. For this piece, I’ll be looking at three more PS4 multiplayer titles, but I don’t think I’ve hit all of them yet. Got an online multiplayer game for PS4 that you want me to try out? Drop me a line and let me know!
