LOW Always turning too slow to shoot drones behind me.
WTF Why are targets only highlighted sometimes??
HIGH Grappling hook + parachute + wingsuit = awesome
LOW The game design is identical to what it was five years ago.
WTF Fast travel in a world this huge is… a limited resource?
HIGH Insane chopper-to-chopper grappling hook action.
LOW The sheer number of missions to finish before credits roll.
WTF Falling 10,000 feet and grappling towards the ground for safety.
The successful balance between exciting innovation and comfortable familiarity is a delicate one. It's true that large doses of creativity can sometimes lead an otherwise solid project wildly awry, but on the other hand, there's little value in rehashing ideas and not going far enough. In the case of Just Cause, the developers have innovated with one shining addition, but otherwise let the scales weigh heavily with well-trodden material.
