In February 2017, it was announced that Playstation 4 free-to-play exclusive Let It Die had passed more than two million downloads in North America, Europe and Japan combined. In order to mark the occasion, I had the chance to ask the game’s director, Hideyuki Shin a few questions. Here are his answers, translated from Japanese.
Candleman was released on the Xbox One earlier this year on February 1st, and quickly garnered attention as a moody, curious work that added a bit of platforming into what might otherwise have been a small-scale walking simulator. Our own Corey Motley reviewed the game quite favorably here, and after finishing it myself, was quite struck by the themes revealed over the course of the adventure — specifically, the shocking ending.
