According to ESRB, this game contains: Blood and Violence.
Parents should probably keep their young ones away from Spartan: Total Warrior. While the game is not as grim as others in this vein, there is still a lot of graphic violence on display, plus some minor sexual references.
Fans of Creative Assembly's games should be aware that Spartan has almost nothing in common with their beloved historically accurate, tactically rich epic battles. The game has a distinct arcade feel to it and while there is a lot going on in realtime, most of it doesn't involve much strategy.
Fans of Dynasty Warriors, God of War and the like will certainly be pleased with Spartan: Total Warrior. Its fighting engine has a few innovations up its sleeve and the usual satisfaction from rushing head first into large groups of enemies and proudly standing on their remains a few seconds later is guaranteed.
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Gamers should encounter no problems here. All dialog is subtitled and almost every gameplay related audio clue is accompanied by a graphical effect.
