I can't help but think that given time this could really become a good late night program. Can you picture Leno, Letterman or even Conan attempting something like this?

Just to expand on what I said in the post…
Conan played Serena in a game of Wii Sports Tennis and Jimmy Kimmel demoed Project Natal on his show, but they were really just one-part marketing and one-part milking what everyone was talking about at the moment.
But even when Colbert drops an occasional games reference like he did with Project Natal or Conan references Super Mario Bros., it’s really not the stated focus of the show.
Before Late Night with Jimmy Fallon launched, Fallon said games would feature in his show and we’re seeing it.
That wasn’t the question, was it? It was, can you see the other guys attempting this? And I say ‘yes, I can see Conan doing it just fine.’ It is also just as plausible that Fallon, while a confessed gamer, had nothing to do with this skit other than some vague suggestion. He has writers, too.
Conan was the one who played one of the Williams sisters in Wii Sports Tennis, right? http://kotaku.com/gaming/top/clip-conan-vs-serena-williams-in-wii-tennis-233417.php
Since Conan had his backdrop turned into SMB for a segment, and he’s done other game related skits, I could see him do it. But not Letterman or Leno.
I don’t think Conan has ever said he was a gamer. Those gaming related skits were probably from his writers.
