According to ESRB, this game contains: Animated Violence
There's nothing to report to parents with concerns about violent game content, but they may take issue with the look of the game. Some of the creatures in this game look frighteningly bizarre and there is an overall creepiness to the game that may be hard to ignore.
Fans of the first-person shooter genre may want to take a look at this strange mixing of the FPS and RPG. Anyone expecting Maken X to be the Dreamcast version of Quake III: Arena or Half-Life will be sorely disappointed. There is no fragging here, power-ups and ammunition to search for, or BFG for that matter. Instead, it is all about fighting with swords and ornamental knives.
