There's really nothing in this game for parents to worry about, aside from some of the language in the sountrack. In fact, this game could teach your kid a thing or two about cars.
Gran Turismo 2 gives hardcore racing enthusiasts more to chew on while making it easier for beginners to start their racing careers.
Those who don't get very excited about cars be warned—Gran Turismo 2 is all about the cars. It doesn't have the broad appeal that characterized games like F-Zero X or Mario Kart, but it's easily the most comprehensive racing simulation currently available.
Some production issues and minor oversights keep it from being one of the greats. The buggy early versions were a really sloppy move on Sony's part, but only perfectionists will notice any problems in the game's execution of racing realism. If you ever wanted to race your favorite car against the best the automobile industry has to offer and listen to some pretty good music in the process, Gran Turismo 2 is your game.
