So I planned on taking Spider-man 2 (and Gene's review) to task here; planned to gripe about the repetitiveness of the street crimes, the flighty combat, the lousy camera, etc. But…I can't do it.

Driv3r – Review
I've been known to sip a cold one or two (or three) when I do my gaming. I know it's probably not a very professional thing for me to do—imagine Ebert hitting the bar before his afternoon screening of The Manchurian Candidate. But videogames are time-consuming endeavors.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay – Second Opinion
I hate to be the one to rain on Mike's parade—OK, actually I don't mind at all—but calling this game "the biggest surprise of this generation of gaming" and a "flawlessly executed adventure" is a little excessive. And before I go any further, let's get one thing straight: for the last time, the movie Pitch Black is overrated—vastly overrated. Please make a note of this.
Serious Sam: Next Encounter – Review
Judging by the half-assed box cover art, budget price, and banal title ("Next Encounter?" That's honestly the best they could come up with?), Serious Sam: Next Encounter is clearly a game that no one, not even publisher Global Star Software, wanted.

Fight Night 2004 – Second Opinion
As a boxing videogame expert-I've played to death just about every pugilistic title out there-I'm proclaiming Fight Night 2004 the premiere title in the genre. I confess, it took me a week or two to fully appreciate the magnificence of this game.

Hitman: Contracts – Review
I did a lot of waiting in Hitman: Contracts. I did a lot of walking, too. That's pretty much the whole game—waiting and walking, walking and waiting. Sounds dull when I put it that way, but I'm telling you, never before have these two seemingly banal acts been fraught with so much simmering tension.
