Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Black Arrow – Review

All I've ever asked is for First Person Shooters to be more realistic. By the release of Duke Nukem 3D I was sick and tired of the conventions of the genre. Shooting people dozens of times without incurring a single flinch, apocalyptic explosions that left my enemies unmarked and with full faculties until a single shot from a tiny pistol did that critical last hit point of damage and they exploded in the distinctive, gruesome, and incredibly familiar shower of guts marked the end of their lives.

The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (Game Boy Advance) – Review

The Sands of Time is a fine 2D platformer, but a rather undistinguished and disposable specimen. Perhaps "fine" 2D platformers just don't cut it anymore, and the golden age of the genre is best left as a memory.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time – Review

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Or in this case, Prince of Persia or ICO? Looking at the question from a purely objective standpoint, Jordan Mechner's original take on the Prince clearly came first, but the matter isn't as simple as that.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Game Description: Play as an acrobatic Prince who can run on walls, swing off poles, jump and flip, sword fight, and slow down and even reverse time., The Grand Visir Jaffar has thrown a young prince into the dungeon. Jaffar has forced the prince’s beloved to choose between marrying his evil self...or death. Take the role of the prince and try to escape from the dungeon. You must fight through 12 levels of puzzles and guards, while keeping in mind the 60-minute time limit. Play The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and rescue the Princess in time.

Far Cry – Review

Far Cry doesn't have an original bone anywhere in its well-sculpted body. Blasting my way across a tropical archipelago, I kept getting a sense of deja vu, as if I'd visited these places and shot these people before. It just hadn't been anywhere near as pretty in the past.
