Fantavision – Review

Have you ever seen a game on a shelf that you looked at over and over without ever buying? Have you ever left the store and then picked the game right back up on your next visit? You may feel drawn to repeatedly scrutinize the same package, but its hard to tell the difference between a sleeper hit and a piece of garbage from a box cover.

Drakan: The Ancients' Gates – Review

This review is part two in my recent attempt to compare the recent spate of fantasy games starring females. At least two discs with cheesy titles hit shelves within a month of each other, and theyre very similar in a lot of ways. While Drakan: The Ancients' Gates was first to stores, Pirates: The Legend Of Black Kat was right on its heels.

Hot Shots Golf 3 – Review

Whether you're the next Tiger Woods or a person who doesnt know a putter from a hockey stick, Hot Shots Golf 3 will almost certainly appeal to you on some level. Ive never stepped foot on a real golf course, but that hasnt kept me from jumping around the living room after making a difficult putt. Hot Shots Golf 3 is a game not unlike chess--it takes a few minutes to learn, but quite some time to master.

Hot Shots Golf 3 – Second Opinion

There's not a lot to say about Hot Shots Golf 3 that Mike didn't already cover, and I agree with almost everything he said. As stated, the game is very open and accessible to the average person (golf nut or not), and its an absolute breeze to play. You should have no fear of buying this one, since it's a total winner. I did have a few things to add, though.

Drakan: The Ancients' Gates – Second Opinion

Once upon a time PC (personal computer) gamers had it much better than videogame console gamers. The PC was a more powerful machine, capable of giving users large 3D game environments and a load of titles console gamers could only dream of having on their 16-bit systems. Times have changed. Now home consoles, like the PlayStation 2, contain power equal to that of the standard computer, if not more. PC-style adventure games like Drakan: The Ancients' Gate just aren't impressive anymore.

Drakan: The Ancients' Gates

Game Description: In the ancient, decaying world of Drakan, the immortal Spirit Dragons are being held captive. Rynn, a brave female warrior, and Arohk, a fearless dragon, are called upon to save these spiritual leaders, as well as the last remnants of mankind. Embarking on an enchanted journey through eight vast, foreign environments, Rynn and Arohk use magical spells, resourcefulness, and more than 50 powerful weapons in their quest to save civilization. With an immersive story line, stunning graphics, and intense battles, Drakan: The Ancients' Gates places you within a world of magical creatures, mysterious lands, and courageous conquests.
