Geist – Review

N-Space's Geist was a game that intrigued me at first glance; it was nothing concrete, just something about it gave the impression of being at the cusp of greatness. I first noticed it at E3 two or three years ago, and added it to my list as one to keep an eye on. I'm not sure if I could put my finger on any one element that struck me as being special, but the ability to haunt a bowl of dog food struck me as the kind of original thinking that could be nurtured to fruition.

Electroplankton – Second Opinion

From the perspective of someone paying money for this card, I think I would be more than a little disappointed. There are no goals in the traditional sense; no real progression. The average person buys a piece of interactive software and expects certain things, among them the kinds of structure and experience that are usually conveyed by the art on the cover of the box.

New Super Mario Bros. – Review

I can talk about why the game is fun, but I can't lie and say the game is brilliant. Mario isn't what he used to be. There are glimmers and flickers of greatness in this game—moments where I felt the magic might almost be back.

Metroid Prime Hunters Review

Bringing Metroid to three dimensions seemed like an impossible task, but it was done and done to perfection. After such an accomplishment, squeezing it onto the Nintendo DS seemed challenging, but not as vast a leap.

Metroid Prime Hunters

Game Description: Metroid Prime Hunters challenges your skills as you control Samus Aran, the space bounty hunter made famous in the Metroid series. A ferocious race, now extinct, has left behind relics of their once powerful warrior culture. Now bounty hunters from across the galaxy are racing against each other in order to lay claim to these relics hoping to harness their power for themselves. It's the race of a lifetime, as you guide Samus to the relics before other hunters can reach them—and use them on her.
