WCW Mayhem

Game Description: Virtual wrestlers are grappling with reality in WCW Mayhem, a true-to-life wrestling game featuring a roster of 60 World Championship Wrestling celebrities, over 600 motion-captured moves, and re-creations of the arenas from the WCW television events, including a dozen pay-per-view super events. In his signature, over-the-top style, each wrestler enters one of 15 different arenas featured in the WCW series. But unlike other wrestling games, fighting in the ring is just a formality. WCW Mayhem wrestlers are free to take the action ringside or backstage, where a variety of tools of the trade--folding chairs, tables, and other smashable objects--are within reach. In career mode, players slam their way toward the championship. Other game options include single match, tag team, triangle, four-way dance, and battle royal.

WCW Mayhem – Second Opinion

Just as unlikely as it is for Stone Cold fans to embrace Goldberg, Mayhem isn't going to make converts out of WWF fans. Attitude will still remain their swan song as well as the overall genre leader. But for rabid WCW fans looking for fresh pixels to pummel with a steel chair, Mayhem should more than suffice.

Beetle Adventure Racing – Review

My first thought was where did this game come from? Published by the makers of the hit series, Need For Speed, Beetle Adventure Racing is a totally unexpected release. Gone are the muscle cars, the rally vehicles, and the crazy collection of authentic automobile licenses. Even the traditional racing elements I've come to expect from racing games are missing or de-emphasized.

Beetle Adventure Racing

Game Description: In Beetle Adventure Racing you can leave the road behind and drive anywhere you want. Start out with a Single Race or take on a friend in Duel Mode, then jump into a Championship Season to uncover hidden tracks. If you prefer smashing to dashing, duke it out with up to four players in a Beetle Battle where free-for-all bashing mayhem rules!

Beetle Adventure Racing – Second Opinion

I found that seeking out and traversing through the often hidden alternate routes to be funny, thrilling and addictive, but where we differ is that while Dale found that there was enough in the gameplay department, I wanted something more. It seemed strange to me that I would play the game expecting an arcade racer, but ended up enjoying this other unexpected adventure/exploration feature.
