Giga Wing 2 – Second Opinion

I wouldn't classify Giga Wing 2as an exquisite gem by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't think its a waste of the CD-ROM that it was burned on either. The game does try a few interesting things conceptually and while the overall success of the title is debatable, I still give Giga Wing 2 credit for the effort and I appreciated it more than Brad did.

Giga Wing 2 – Review

Giga Wing 2 is the latest in what most people today would classify as a rapidly dying breed—the genre most commonly known as "shooter." Reaching the height of their popularity during the late 80s and early 90s, shooters usually consisted of a spaceship or aircraft of some sort controlled by the player versus enough enemies to fill an arm of the Milky Way.

Metal Slug X – Review

Looking at the differences between where videogames have been and where theyre going, youll often find some groups of people saying that they miss the good old days. "Old-school" gaming, as it were. For those of us with enough years under our belts to have been active players on more than one generation of consoles, its a mysterious and sometimes indefinable quality that some claim has disappeared from games crafted today, much to the loss of game players everywhere.

ESPN MLS GameNight – Review

Then comes ESPN MLS GameNight—which is basically ISS Pro Evolution with ESPN and MLS (Major League Soccer) licenses slapped onto it. So now not only do you get every MLS team and player represented, but you also get commentary courtesy of ESPN commentators Bob Ley (English) and Luis Tapia (Spanish). Its been a long time coming for the ISS series, but finally there's an official soccer license attached that does justice to its fantastic gameplay.

ESPN MLS GameNight – Second Opinion

Ben's review is pretty close to how I feel about this game. As a true soccer fanatic, I truly appreciate the amount of work that has gone into the engine of ESPN MLS GameNight, as it still remains my favorite soccer video game.

Driver 2 – Review

Flash forward to present day, and I find theres bit of irony and vindication. For the sequel, Driver 2: The Wheelman Is Back, is now being universally panned by gamers and press alike for the same reasons that Dale and I pointed out two years ago over the original. (Just goes to show you how hype can cloud ones judgment.)
