Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader – Second Opinion

Caleb's Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II review brings up several valid points in regards to the titles beautiful graphics, lack of story and unoriginal missions. While I agree with his assessment for the most part, I feel a few points weren't stressed enough or overlooked.

Prisoner of War – Review

Prisoner Of War takes an ambitious approach to a unique concept and comes out with mixed but mostly effective results

Animal Crossing – Second Opinion

In Thom's review above, he touched upon the fact that Animal Crossing is structured to be played for about an hour or two instead of the longer, sometimes marathon sessions that other games inspire. This type of slower, more leisurely game design is a very new way of thinking in our field, but seems to be establishing a firm foothold.

Star Fox Adventures – Review

Hello Star Fox Adventures, a.k.a Star Fox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet, a.k.a. Dinosaur Planet. We've been expecting you for quite some time. What has it been, two, maybe three years since you first showed yourself on the Nintendo 64? How many delays has it been since moving over to the GameCube? Three, perhaps four? You've grown up rather nice over the years. Quite a glossy shine you have on your graphics and polished gameplay to boot.

Gungrave – Review

For all its visual splendor, Gungrave is really just a mindless shooter not unlike those from the Super Nintendo and Genesis era. The gameplay boils down to nothing more than shoot everything in sight and keep advancing. Grave is a big, lumbering lug, so trying to avoid the barrage of enemy bullets is essentially pointless.

Enclave – Second Opinion

There isnt much to add to Mikes review. He pegged all of the major problems and few highpoints Enclave showcases. Whether its the shoddy save and combat systems or the extreme difficulty, I agree with him. There are a couple things that I feel deserve further attention.

Kingdom Hearts Review

Kingdom Hearts Screenshot

Kingdom Hearts was formally announced at the Electronics Entertainment Expo of 2000, which I was fortunate enough to attend. Most convention-goers (myself included) waiting in the mile-long line for the preview left stunned, amazed, or a quivering mixture of both. The game that was shown represented nothing less than a completely unexpected merger of two colossal forces, two seemingly invulnerable icons, each at the summits of their respective media.
