Giga Wing 2 – Review

Giga Wing 2 is the latest in what most people today would classify as a rapidly dying breed—the genre most commonly known as "shooter." Reaching the height of their popularity during the late 80s and early 90s, shooters usually consisted of a spaceship or aircraft of some sort controlled by the player versus enough enemies to fill an arm of the Milky Way.

ESPN MLS GameNight – Second Opinion

Ben's review is pretty close to how I feel about this game. As a true soccer fanatic, I truly appreciate the amount of work that has gone into the engine of ESPN MLS GameNight, as it still remains my favorite soccer video game.

ESPN MLS GameNight – Review

Then comes ESPN MLS GameNight—which is basically ISS Pro Evolution with ESPN and MLS (Major League Soccer) licenses slapped onto it. So now not only do you get every MLS team and player represented, but you also get commentary courtesy of ESPN commentators Bob Ley (English) and Luis Tapia (Spanish). Its been a long time coming for the ISS series, but finally there's an official soccer license attached that does justice to its fantastic gameplay.

Driver 2 – Review

Flash forward to present day, and I find theres bit of irony and vindication. For the sequel, Driver 2: The Wheelman Is Back, is now being universally panned by gamers and press alike for the same reasons that Dale and I pointed out two years ago over the original. (Just goes to show you how hype can cloud ones judgment.)

Silent Scope – Review

Silent Scope is a port. Nothing more, nothing less. What's more its not a very good one. Based on the arcade game of the same name, it throws you into the role of a sniper for hire. The President and his family have been kidnapped by a generic band of terrorists and it is up to rescue them. Ordinarily, Id jump at the opportunity to play the role of a sniper—many is the time I died in GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark while trying to score nothing but headshots on my targets—but Konamis release is so flawed that I couldn't even enjoy such a base indulgence.

Silent Scope – Second Opinion

What really kills me is that this game could have really opened up some new possibilities in narrative and action. Can you imagine if Silent Scope was based on a similar plot device like the Hitchcock classic "Rear Window?"
