Parents, as with anything labeled WWF, should be advised that there is plenty of stereotypical, sexual and over-the-top content for your entertainment pleasure or abject horror -- so be warned. Everyone should note however, that one potential problem is with the instruction manual. It is a bit lacking when it comes to listing some of the moves available to each wrestler, and even more so when it comes to explaining some of the modes and features.
PlayStation owners will no longer have to suffer through the horrid wrestling titles Acclaim tries to pass off as wrestling games. In WWF Smackdown! you have arguably the best wrestling game ever made, and it will satisfy any wrestling fan who owns a PlayStation.
Nintendo fans still have Wrestlemania 2000, which in all fairness is WWF Smackdown!'s cross-console brother.
Multiplayer wrestling fans are in for a real treat. Not only are there tons of multiplayer matchups in the form of three- or four-way Dances, but there's also the Royal Rumble, King of the Ring tournament and Battle Royal options. But perhaps the best part is that not only can four players simultaneously compete in the Season mode (each vying for the titles), but they can form their own groups and tag-teams as well.
