Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy – Consumer Guide

Daniel Weissenberger's picture

According to ESRB, this game contains: Strong Language, Intense Violence, Blood and Gore

Parents keep their children away from this game-beyond the exploding heads and the soul-eating, the game is full to the brim with morally questionable violence and quite a bit of harsh language. There's also some not-on-the-warning-label nudity hidden in the concept art movies (censored in the PS2 version, uncensored in the Xbox).

Multiple console owners should know that it's essentially the same game on the Xbox as it is on the PS2. The main difference is that all of the powers are more conveniently laid out on the PS2, but the most-used power, telekinesis, is easier to operate with the Xbox's triggers than it is with the PS2 shoulder button.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing gamers will have trouble following the game's plot, as there were no subtitles that I could find. The game itself remains completely playable, though, and is no less fun without the sound.
