HIGH Great animation.

LOW Brings nothing new to the table.

WTF The stunningly dull, unimpressive final boss.

Metal Slug 4 & 5 – Second Opinion

Dan is right on the money in saying that the lack of extras in Metal Slug 4 & 5 is very disappointing. This is my third review of a Metal Slug title for GameCritics, and over the last few re-releases, the decline in value for each game has been fairly obvious.

Metal Slug 4 & 5 – Review

So, that's it? Really? Maybe it's just me, but it seems that in this day and age people expect more from a port of an arcade game than just the arcade game. Metal Slug 3 – Review

It's been a long time since a game made me sweat and gave me the shakes. The last one to do it was the original Ridge Racer, released way back when. Beating the supernatural black Lamborghini in the final course is one of my fondest gaming memories, though I suffered through countless defeats to achieve it. That same feeling of overcoming impossible odds to revel in a satisfying victory has finally been repeated with SNK's shooting masterpiece, Metal Slug 3, and this is a good thing.

Metal Slug 3

Game Description: In Metal Slug 3, you must blast armies of soldiers, zombies, and aliens through five different missions of non stop shooting action. The view will periodically shift from a horizontal perspective to a vertical one at different points in the game, and players will be able to enter mechanical vehicles called slugs to help combat enemies or to advance further within the post-apocalyptic levels.
