Have you always wanted to take Ninja Gaiden's Ryu through the worlds of Super Mario Bros.? Wait, really? You have? Or how about playing as Link from The Legend of Zelda? You've wanted to do that too? Okay, well, now you can... online.
I don't know how they do it, but the folks over at CollegeHumor are usually right on the mark when it comes to their spoofs. And they have done it again with their take on the entire four-season run of the sci-fi TV series Battlestar Galactica.
If you count yourself a fan of the series even after sitting through four years of political gibberish, convoluted prophecy and plot holes large enough to fly a Pegasus through, then please click on the play icon for one of the best arguments for why you shouldn't be.
For those who don't know, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has taken on Nintendo and Super Mario because Super Mario 3D Land for the 3DS features a Tanooki suit. According to PETA, this as good a time as any to call attention to the plight of the adorable tanuki.
At long last, we've reached the end. The final boss is actually pretty tough, so I go ahead and use the Rolling Shield on him. After that we've got a very somber ending and then the credits, complete with me struggling in vain to fill several minutes worth of dead air.
I'll be back sometime in the near future with Mega Man X2 and so on, but I'll be taking a small Mega Man break first. Until then, enjoy this last video. It's been fun!
As part of Kristin's Extra-Life 24-hour gaming marathon she had agreed to play Amnesia: The Dark Descent and stream it live over the Internet. A commendable endeavor on many levels. Marathoning a game like that would be no small task for anyone. Alas, our Kristin couldn't do it. But all is not lost. She was recording the whole time and has left the video up on YouTube for the whole Internet to enjoy.
How would the man who played Indiana Jones feel about playing Naughty Dog's Uncharted 3? Well, naturally he'd be very excited and enjoy playing it very much.
Honestly, the video is a bit awkward. I don't know how handy Ford really is with a PlayStation 3 controller at home, but it doesn't look like he's very good in this video. Maybe it's the camera or the location, but it all looks a bit unnatural. Maybe it doesn't matter. All Sony wanted was to get Indiana Jones playing Nathan Drake from its new video game and it got it.
The third Sigma Stage is essentially a big boss rush. I have to face the five remaining Mavericks plus the stage boss, D-Rex. While it isn't that bad if you use the Maverick weapons, this stage can be hell if you're doing a buster only run, especially since you have to deal with both Sting Chameleon and Armored Armadillo again.
The next video will be the final stage and ending. Enjoy!
I'm now convinced that Larry the Comic Book Enthusiast should totally have been a selectable character in Dead Island. His stamina, hygiene, usefulness and likeability won't ever be very high, but he would surely make up for it with funny quips and witty commentary and girlish screams. Something Techland should consider for the next DLC.
