Devil May Cry 2

Game Description: Devil May Cry 2 brings us back to Dante's world, and this time his fellow demon-fighter friend, Lucia, has her own disc.

No One Lives Forever – Review

Personally, I don't believe in the adage that women need to be better than all the men around them in order to be accepted. By having a few chinks in her armour, Cate remains true to life...maybe even a bonafide Female Role Model.

No One Lives Forever – Consumer Guide

According to ESRB, this game contains: Comic Mischief, Mild Language, Violence.

Gungrave – Second Opinion

What is it with developers these days? It seems like going for a high level of style makes them totally ignore the substance. Note to developers: the two elements are not mutually exclusive. Unfortunately, the "great-looking, weak-playing" game seems to be a new genre that's here to stay.

Crimson Sea

Game Description: Crimson Sea pits you against an unknown enemy that hides in the shadows. Vibration, sound, movement, everything hints at a presence that is slowly approaching. Where are they? Where will they appear? Experience the tension and thrill of the hunt. Then suddenly they're here—all around you. Thousands, tens of thousands of alien creatures fill the screen. Fear tightens its grip as you fire off burst after burst until gradually fear changes to the excitement of prevailing against overwhelming odds.

Crimson Sea – Review

Sometimes a videogame can make itself less of a worthwhile experience by making its existence as a videogame too obvious. This may seem initially to be a contradiction in terms, but what about a movie that's constantly reminding the viewer that it's a movie? When a child plays pretend, do they constantly tell themselves that they aren't driving that fire engine, it's just their imagination?

Crimson Sea – Consumer Guide

According to ESRB, this game contains: Suggestive Themes, Violence

Panzer Dragoon Orta – Second Opinion

As an unabashed admirer of the Panzer Dragoon series, I find myself in almost complete agreement with Gene's assessment of Panzer Dragoon Orta. Being intimately familiar with the previous three games, I found it difficult to imagine how they could improve upon the structure of Panzer Dragoon Zwei, which I regard as one of the best shooters of all time.

The Getaway – Review

Before I go any further with this review, I should mention that I am not suggesting the modern day gangster title The Getaway for the PlayStation 2 belongs in the same echelon of the aforementioned works. The Getaway is a big budgeted and highly ambitious release from Sony. However, it is also a severely flawed experience—or, to put it more bluntly, the gameplay sucks.

The Getaway

Game Description: In The Getaway, you're a reformed criminal who's been blackmailed into returning to his old ways—and he's going to do whatever it takes to stop it!
