Rise to Honor – Review

At the center of Rise to Honor is world-renowned Wushu martial arts stylist and Hong Kong film idol Jet Li, in the ass kickin' out-for-revenge hero role he's played dozens of times before on the celluloid screen.

Rise to Honor

Game Description: The story of the game is concerned with a bodyguard named Kit Yun, Jet Li, who protects the leader of a Hong Kong crime syndicate. When his charge, Boss Chiang, is assassinated, Yun must journey to the U.S. to retrieve Chiang's daughter and untangle a web of underworld mystery presumably whilst beating the snot out of anything that so much as twitches.

Breakdown – Review

Breakdown is a perfect example of the sort of great-thinking, rotten-playing game that has a great brain, but neglects the basics backing it up. It has a great hook, especially when you consider that most respected developers today say the elusive feelings of emotional involvement and immersion are what they're after. Breakdown certainly scores major points on that front, but taken as a whole, the project achieves disappointingly uneven results.

Game Description: Breakdown is the story of a young man freed from a mysterious organization looking to brainwash him into submission. You can not only smash soldiers, government agents, and supernatural enemies using your fists, but call upon a special energy that imbues your arms with powerful concentrations of light., Trapped inside a mysterious laboratory and unable to remember his past, Derrick Cole discovers his extraordinary powers as he fights for survival against a determined military faction and a legion of seemingly invincible super-human warriors.

Ninja Gaiden Review

Of all the hideous monsters and hellspawn that haunt Tecmo's third-person action game Ninja Gaiden—mace-weilding zombies, giant fire-breathing worms, faceless samurai—nothing frightened me more than demon hunter Rachel's ridiculously oversized breasts. No kidding. When I first encountered them—they're seriously the size of small Third World countries—I let out a ninja-like cry—something like "Aiieeeee!"—then braced myself (left trigger! left trigger!) for their attack.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 – Review

Fighting games are a bit of a strange contradiction, because they really seem like they should be the most accessible genre. After all, just jumping into a single fight is the epitome of the casual gaming experience. Of course, since most fighting games have incredibly steep learning curves, this doesn't work quite the way it should.
