Rage Review

A Beautiful Waste

Rage Screenshot

HIGH The Dead City section is a varied high point in the campaign.

LOW The end of the final mission is a turpid joke.

WTF Who races a "time trial" once the Apocalypse has gone down?

Dirt 3 Review

What's a Gymkhana?

Dirt 3 Screenshot

HIGH Racing through the dusty African night, drifting around corners at full speed.

LOW The endless, repetitive, "duels".

WTF Gymkhana? What?

NASCAR 2011: The Game Review

A Dart Without Feathers

NASCAR 2011: The Game Screenshot

HIGH Going from last to first over eight laps at Darlington.

LOW Getting spun out in turn four at Martinsville and receiving a pit road speeding penalty rather than a caution flag.

WTF Bump-drafting at Martinsville? Kevin Conway winning races? Jeff Burton taking the pole every week? What bizarre alternate universe is this?

Video: OMSI: The Omnibus Simulator makes the mundane almost cool

I should find everything about OMSI: Der Omnibussimulator (Omnibus Simulator) to be abhorrent. It has über-realistic German bus controls, German locations based on actual German bus routes and locations, realistic German weather, realistic German day/night cycles and realistic German bus sounds. There isn't any part of the game that hides what OMSI really is. But I only find myself intrigued by OMSI.

Nail'd Review

Dirtbikes Have Never Been Safer!

Nail'd Screenshot

HIGH Soaring preposterously high off a jump then landing perfectly on the roof of a moving train.

LOW Snowblindness losing me yet another race.

WTF I'm the one speeding through the mud at the front of the pack—why is dirt splatting on MY face?

Blood Drive Review

Dead Sinking

Blood Drive Screenshot

HIGH Watching zombies fly to pieces as giant buzzsaws cut through them.

LOW Being unable to find a zombie to use said buzzsaw on.

WTF The single-player events are two hours long. Without save points.

Video: Gran Turismo 5 vs. Mario Kart 64

Even without a side-by-side comparison to Mario Kart 64, Gran Turismo 5 just makes kart racing look boring.

Mafia II Review

Actually, it is for Nothing

Mafia II Screenshot

HIGH Eddie and Joe singing along drunkenly to "Return to me" in the car.

LOW The preceding half-hour, during which they vomit constantly.

WTF I failed one mission because the guy I was tailing ran into a taxi of his own accord.

ModNation Racers Review

Prepare Yourself for the Rubberband Man

ModNation Racers Screenshot

HIGH Fulfilling all the conditions to earn all of a track's prizes and skidding across the finish line in first.

LOW Fulfilling all the conditions to earn all of a track's prizes and getting dropped from first to sixth by attacks within sight of the finish line.

WTF Why did they include this dull story (announcers, skits, etc.) in career mode?
