Game Description: For anyone who enjoyed playing the original Zelda game on the Nintendo 64, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask should come as a pleasant surprise. This game again features Link, the young elf who has been the star of every Zelda game so far. This time, however, he has to stop the moon from crashing into the land of Hyrule. Link must travel back in time 72 hours to avert the disaster; otherwise Hyrule will be destroyed. There are four dungeons to explore, with many other places to visit. In addition, Link can use over 20 masks to gain even more abilities!
Writing a review for a game in Nintendo's Legend of Zelda series is different than writing a review for other games, because Nintendo's work allows discussion of higher level elements such as form and structure rather than implementation. The camera for example, which has been the bane of most other third-person games, Majora's Mask somehow improves from Ocarina of Time.
Game Description: Mega Man Legends 2 continues the successful 3D spinoff of the 2D Mega Man franchise. It features familiar characters from the series, and mixes action-adventure, RPG, and puzzle gameplay. Accompanying Mega Man are Roll, the Bonne family, the Servbots, Data, and Glyde. The story revolves around the recently discovered Sealed Key, which could unlock the Great Legacy—a mystery that could be either a boon or a curse to mankind. There are several towns in which to explore, and a giant airship called the Flutter will transport the party there.
Well, Matt definitely wasn't alone in thinking that the original Mega Man Legends was something special in the midst of the usual flood of Street Fighter rehashes Capcom sees fit to choke store shelves with. Personally, it's quite exciting for me to see that the series hasn't been pushed aside and forgotten in favor of more predictable (read: unimaginative sequel) titles.
Namco is a name that means a lot to me as a gamer. It touches me spiritually, almost. Not only is it the company that invented Pac-Man, Galaga and a monstrous slew of other hits during the golden days of the arcade, but it continues to be a vital, successful and influential force in the gaming scene today.
Game Description:Dragon Valor provides the narrative structure of role-playing games and combines it with the fighting action of adventure games. You'll take on the role of Clovis, the patriarch in a succession of Dragonslayer warriors. In the first chapter of the game, you'll battle in real-time combat through a fantastic world of powerful dragons and evil bosses. Power-ups along the way will make you an even more formidable hero, and you'll also benefit from spells you'll receive from defeated foes.
