I also just beat the main quest in Morrowind on the PC. I think my wood elf needs to put his daedric Dai-katana down for a little R&R before tackling Bloodmoon...

Well, I beat Chrono Cross again if that counts, this time obsessively getting every 7th level technique, every character, every etc. etc. Too bad you can't have both serge and lynx in your party at the same time.

Sure it does. Post here if you "beat" Kung Fu on the NES for the 12,487,984th time, it's all game!

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
I finally beat to death (a week ago) the nihlistic masterpiece that is 'Manhunt'. I initially hated this game - the graphics are shite, the combat system lame - but it really gets under your skin in a serial killer sort of way. It makes you earn your mass murders - players beam with pride when they become a cowardly yet adept mass murderer just trying to survive.
I usually put this game on to clear the house when the visitors were hanging around too long after Eye Toy - it works a treat everyime, although I'm not sure why no one returns my calls anymore. I'm thinking of hunting them down and sneaking up on them from behind with a meat cleaver (and keeping a video diary as a warning to others).
I just want to add that the game did not predispose me towards violence - I've always had a little voice in my head telling me to kill with extreme prejudice.

I beat Final Fantasy X yesterday
I just loved it, (almost) every minute of it. I loved the characters, the story, the music (oh how I LOVED the music!) the levelling up business (my first RPG believe it or not) - what a brilliant idea! If you're not strong enough to beat a tough enemy, just spend an hour or two getting stronger! "Ha! Take that, boss!"
This game has taken over pole position for longest game I've ever played (formerly Zelda: Wind Waker.)
FFX: two (fully levelled-up) thumbs up!

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
I beat Phantasy Star One on the SP AGAIN last night. Long story, but I had to run through it again to test my theory about the level-up glitch in the translation. If anybody wants details then PM me.
Backburner, still:
Disgaea (off and on)
FFX (stuck on Seymore Natus boss)
Mario and Luigi Superstar Story
Xenosaga (need to carve out time to play that one)
Miracle Warriors (2,345th replay)
Wonder Boy 3: Dragon's Trap (first time)
Wind Waker (second replay)
Golden Sun (bores me, but I gotta finish it someday)
Fire Emblem (gives me chest pains but it's awesome)
Advance Wars (Advance Campaign 1/2 done)
Metriod Prime (Hard run, stuck on Omega Pirate)
That's all I can remember off the top of my head.

Beat Zelda II for the umpteenth time last night. Beat Zelda I for the trillumpteenth time a few days before that. I think I'll play some Link to the Past now.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
Well, since 3K can do it, I guess I can. Here's my ever-changing list of games I'm working on in an attempt to finish:
Hunter: The Reckoning (actually, my grrl and I are just having fun trying to get through the levels in co-op mode),
Xenosaga: Episode I,
Shadow Hearts,
PoP:SoT,
Splinter Cell (the 1st).
I desperately want to start:
Chrono Trigger,
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, and
Persona 2.
Unfortunately, I've yet to factor them into my gaming schedule, so I've not yet started them.
Furthermore, when Thief: Deadly Shadows is released tomorrow, the others may very well go to the back-burner.. again.
*le sigh*
Too many games*, too little time.
*This also applies to books.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
I beat The Simpson's: Hit & Run just a day or two ago. Final verdict: fun but frustrating at times, especially that damn last mission. Not enough out of car experience, music is kind of annoying, but overall, quite enjoyable.

Well, then. I just beat Star Control 2 in the form of the re-release with ogg music remixes and everything. anyone interested, it's all there at http://sc2.sourceforge.net. However, there are some logic holes in the current gametext, so I can't really wholeheartedly recommend it.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
I think it's pretty funny that while both Bastilla and Carth are bitches, Bastilla's disposition makes her more attractive and Carth's does the opposite. What a girl.
I beat the main quest of Morrowind yesterday, finished off the Thieve's Guild and Morag Tong missions and have moved onto Bloodmoon. The world you're in is so well-realized that it renders (most) complaints about the combat system and repetitive missions moot. Bloodmoon's quests are definitely far better fleshed out than in the original. It actually involves an ingame plot (not backstory) and definitely has more variety than the endless fetch quests of the original. The world definitely seems less static this time around. Hopefully this is a sign of what future Elder Scrolls games will turn out to be.
Plus I built this great ring the other day that allows me to jump 40 times higher and cross the world in about a third of the time... I'm kinda like Doomsday, I'm very proud of myself.
