Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
I just finished MechCommander 2 again. Started it up again cause I got nostalgic for playing with Mechs, but didn't want to play the Mechwarrior games.
I suppose I beat Port Royale 2 as well, I was playing the open scenario but started to get bored, so I stopped. Does that count as beating the game? (I did beat the French down to only one town, and took 6 towns away from the dastardly Brits.)

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
I just finished off Growlanser II: Sense of Justice. It turned out to be a rather nice SRPG with real time battle system, sorta reminds me of KOTOR. The game even comes with branching paths depending on what dialogue choices you make. All around a pretty good game and I'm glad Working Designs localized it.
Now to play Growlanser III or start up a new game of Growlanser II and play the other main storyline.

I finally sucked it up and finished Shenmue. I got somewhat hooked on darts and listening to my tape player, so it made the game a bit more tolerable. I still think the whole thing is one huge series of missed opportunities though.

Okay, fine, I WILL post when I beat these silly Mega Man games. Mega Man Part the Third and Mega Man: Power the Battles. (Although to say I beat Power Battles is like bragging about beating the first level of Galaga. Not exactly a staggering accomplishment.)

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
Megaman 4 is my favorite. Pharaoh Man fo' life!
Anyways, I "beat" Ridge Racer DS. Got the credits to roll anyways. I actually liked playing it with the stylus, believe it or not. Not a bad game. I do wish it had more tracks though, and whoever decided to put the track map on the lower screen deserves a stern reprimand. I never look down there. If I do, I crash.
Oh well, I got better eventually, it just took more trial and error than I would've liked.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
Woot! I finally got around to completing Mechassault for Xbox. I got the game free with my purchase of Xbox Live 2 years ago and haven't touched it in at least 18 months.
The mark of a good game (or simplistic depending on how you want to view it) is the ability to pick up a game after an extended hiatus and jump right back into it with minimal acclimitization. When I last played the game I was on mission 14. Well, I popped it back in 2 days ago and just finished the 24th and final mission today. The game was a lot of fun, a bit repetitive at points, but the variety of the mechs kept that from being too severe.
Anyway, I'm glad to finally have beaten that game. I picked back up Gladius yesterday; maybe I'll finally get around to beating that one too. (although I doubt it, since I'm only about 28 hours into it).

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
Alright, Mario 64 DS. Didn't get all 150 stars yet, but I beat the final Bowser, and that's what matters. My own private shame for a very long time was that I could never beat the final Bowser in the N64 version, even though all my friend's insisted he was "fuckin' easy dude!" I feel better now. Props to the thumbstrap, without whom this would not have been possible.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I got through the story mode today and despite some frustrations, in the end I considered it pretty good. Best ending of the three, for one thing, even if it was one scene too long. (For those who've played it, the last line in the game shoulda been "See you 'round," in my opinion.)
Now I'm working on getting all the turf. There's one tiny Vagos territory somewhere on the map that I can't find. I only have 98.15% of all the territory!

Well, I think that last scene in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which I just beat, is just to let you know that you can keep playing. I really, really loved this game.

Huh. That was indeed it.
What were the Vagos doing all the way up there? Damn. Thanks for the help!
