BTW, although Alient Hominid is tough as nails, I really like it's quirky styling. I don't think that came through in my original post, and I didn't want to deter any potential buyers of the game.

Or, like, awesome!

I bought Zelda II for GBA, even though I could just go emu it... I suppose I should buy original Zelda for completionism.

Kind of off-topic...Oh well. Valley girls annoy me. As does that song.

Ok ok, enough about Valley Girls. I have important news. IMPORTANT I say!

I beat Paper Mario. The original for N64. Pretty sweet game, and the music is really good. There is still no excuse for not allowing Luigi to join your party though.

!!!!!!

I just unlocked an extra in the Japanese version of the game (Dororo, or Blood Will Tell in English) which showed a clip from the English version -

Terrible, terrible voice acting! I have to admit, I've always been in the sub-title camp as opposed to the dubbing camp (I ALWAYS prefer original voices, even with English movies dubbed into other languages), but this was just awful. The voice actors in the Japanese version were just right, and the English version just sounded so... soulless.

Especially in a game like this in which characterization was a large part of the appeal, this would actually be a deal-breaker for me.

Just FYI.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Hmm...I would be surprised if a game like that didn't have an option for japanese voiceovers. But then again Bujingai didn't, which was perplexing. I'll have to do some checking up on that. I can usually abide-hell, enjoy!-terrible voice acting, but I'm less tolerant if it comes at the cost of story/characterization.

In other news, Mystical Ninja starring Gatekeep--err, Goemon has been conqured. The final stretch of the game was awesome. I especially dug when Dancin' and Lily sang "Beautiful, My Stage!". It's a shame that the game is so short though. You blink and you're 2/3rds through it. But I guess the idea is to always leave you wanting more...

Beat Rez... again. This time on Trance Direct Assault Mode

Really amazing game. I got a beautiful ending this time filled with butterflies and whatnot.

For all you people that have gone Rez-less, be sure to purchase the game on its upcoming re-release.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Soon, i saw some postings on gamefaqs about it, lemme google it up real quick.

Can't find anything. I just have heard that its happening. There have been rumblings for a while.

If you really want a PS2 copy, check a local Toys R Us. Thats where i found mine new for $50. Funny thing, it was with the new releases, even tho it was released like 2 years prior my purchase.

Space Channel 5 as part of last year's Special Edition release. It's funny; I couldn't finish the last level sitting down, but when I stood up and tapped my foot on the ground I had no problem with it.

So I'm playing the entire sequel standing up.

(Has anyone played Part II by the way? Best dance choreography in a game, ever. Not that's a big list.)
