Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
Finished RE5. It was a fun ride. Like a popcorn flick the story sucked, but the action was great.
Like everyone else I wished I could move when I was aiming. Even a little would of helped. I would of also like a better menu system during gameplay.
The Quick Time Events didn't bother me too much. Like Vince I thought the end battle dragged on for too long.
Great game though. I rented it and completed it within 3 days. 2 chapters a day.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
I finished Ninja Town for the DS the other night. It was a fun little tower defense game that had a lot of heart and a knack for sucking me in (via the simple yet addictive gameplay). Difficulty was a bit on the easy side throughout most of the game, but there were several stages that really made me work for my victory. Thankfully, there were no penalties built in for restarting maps over and over again! Anyway, I liked it. Great for bite size bouts, and if you like cute little ninjas and demons... well, how can you possibly go wrong?! When this one hits the bargain bin, swoop down and pick it up!
Now, I'm off to put in Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume. Wish me luck!

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
Just beat Ninja Gaiden II on the 360. Meh. They removed a few annoyances but it's mostly the same as the original Xbox title.
Now granted, this isn't exactly a story-driven game, but the narrative is complete nonsense. I can't imagine that it would cost that much to hire some obscure writer to come up with something that's just bad, as opposed to completely indecipherable.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
Finished King's Field: The Ancient City today. Man, I love me some King's Field.
I was kind of surprised at how much of it was subterranean, given the wide open spaces of KF2, but that's not really so much a complaint as just a surprise.
More companies need to get into the niche depressing, (intentionally?) ugly-looking, games with gameplay of questionable quality. The only game I can think of outside of the KF series that sort of touches on this uh...genre, is Drakengard, which I also loved.
Now to import Demon's Souls.

Whoa, haven't thought about KF in a while. It really was pretty good, wasn't it?
If you liked that, check out Arx Fatalis on the original Xbox... it's a lot like KF, but with more story.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
Just finished Overlord on X360... literally just finished it... like not even five minutes ago. Came straight here to post about it!
Pretty cool game overall. Better than I originally expected, actually. Think Pikmin meets Fable, in all the right ways! It had a pretty dark sense of humor, and really encouraged - nay, rewarded - wrongdoing! Probably the first time I ever played a game that begged 'moral decisionmaking' throughout which I was compelled to walk the path of evil. I only once did the 'nice' thing the whole game, and it was totally by accident. Because I didn't fully understand what I was supposed to do. Hehe. Can't go back in time, though. Not thanks to the game's autosave feature!
Anyway, definitely another bargain bin recommendation. And last I heard there was a sequel on the way!

Finally finished the first Yakuza.
Yakuza is one of those very flawed, but still very enjoyable games.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
Just talked with the developer of CaveIn on Community today... he said there are 80 levels, and he only knows of one person who's ever finished the game.
I'm on level 73 right now, hoping to be #2.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
I finally finished Myst IV: Revelation. It was well on its way to becoming my favorite in the series (which is high praise, coming from me), but I really hated the game's finale.
Is this board's other Myst fan still around? Moriarty?

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!
Just finished Devil Summoner 2... another solid game from Atlus as Brad's review indicated. The encounter rate was indeed high, but there is an item you can buy from the stores in the game that lowers the encounter rate, so it wasn't a big deal really.
Damn, the forum stats say I haven't logged in for almost 2 years.... guess I've been lurking too much, my bad @_@
If it's allowed, perhaps I'll make a list of the games I've beaten so far this year. I've been on a real gaming binge in 2009... I think I've already finished more titles than I did in 2007 and 2008 combined. I guess this is the true meaning of "funemployment"!

I completed the game last week (on the PS3) and opened up the new outfits and the ability to play as Sheeva. I'd decided to start a new game, to see what was available and the file was corrupt.
This is the 3rd game on the PS3 that has had a corrupt file message, forcing me to erase the save files. I hope my HDD isn't about to die.
