I wonder if the stores still have Bionic Commando for $20. I heard about that, and wouldn't mind nabbing a copy, especially at that price!

I rented GoW2 and felt like I was play GoW1 all over again. Not that impressed. I'll give it a second shot, though.

Bionic Commando was horrible. I will not give it a second shot.

Mirror's Edge also dropped to $19.99. So far I am really enjoying it. The story is sort of an after thought, but the aesthetics and platforming is top notch.

Yeah, the stores have BC for $20. In fact, check for all of the deals online first, THEN go into the stores.

I saw a handful of games I wanted on sale, and when I went into the stores to pick up the copies, the labels were all incorrect. Luckily, I took 'em up to the clerk who scanned them into the computer, and they all came up with the prices posted online.

You can't trust some minimum-wagers to go around relabeling every day, I guess...

Oh man, I picked up Bionic Commando in this sale and is it ever great.

I am actively looking for the bad game here that so many people asserted existed, (and believe me I've seen some real vitriol fly about this game) and I absolutely don't see it.

Best 20 bucks spent in quite some time.

If you like fighting games it is a must get. If you don't care about fighting games then it probably won't change your mind.

I got the Special Edition gears of war two not so long back (The one with the art book, metal case, DVD and that big double sleeve) for under £20. Best deal I ever got, not sure how that converts into your pretend american money (I kid) but As far as I'm aware its somewhere along the lines of 14 USD.

I've been toying with the idea of buying bionic commando, but thought it looked shit and i've heard bad things, is it one of those games that everyone hates on but are actually good? (Like the opposite of halo)

I'd also bought the official arcade stick for $69, only to find out it doesn't work with PS2 games.

Yes, yes it is. It has a tiny bit of a learning curve, but it's not as bad as something like Devil May Cry. Otherwise it's pretty, short enough to keep from overstaying it's welcome, and fun.

A lot of criticisms lie in people complaining that it's not an open world game, which is like complaining that resident evil isn't an open world game. Oh, and people complain there is no cover system, but when you're able to swing through the air with the greatest of ease it seems pointless. Also when did cover systems become a requirement in games?

See, I didn't think Devil May Cry's learning curve was all that bad, well at least up untill number 4 when you spend half the game getting used to controlling one character then bam we're back to dante who feels clunky and slow in comparison and you sorely miss the devil bringer.
