You do this in SP only or in MP too?
Insane tasks like "play 1000 hours this map" or "kill 100.000 enemies" or the quake-achievement nonsense " be first on the ranking system" also?
I stop at rather ridiculous missions or when i clearly notice the difficulty is too high for me, but trying to complete a game is fun sometime.

Re: New People, Please Introduce Yourselves
I usually try for both, if they are somewhat reasonable. More recent examples would be Left 4 Dead 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and Splinter Cell Conviction. I'm slowly working on Red Faction: Guerrilla (100,000 XP and 5,000 kills.) An example of one I won't even try is Condemned 2: Criminal Origins; not enough people playing online (who would?) and requires too much time.

Right. I don't care too much for the 400 gs-points i will never get in Kane&Lynch but because there are zero players online (on PC), i will have to wait for the sequel to play the interesting sounding MP.

Re: New People, Please Introduce Yourselves
Hello all, JT here. I'm 24 and teach high school English lit to a bunch of ungrateful punks (kidding...sort of), and I also work with native Spanish speakers in acquiring proficiency in English. I've been visiting the site pretty regularly for a couple of years; don't know why I never joined the forum until now, as I always enjoy reading it.

Re: New People, Please Introduce Yourselves
Hi, I'm Ed Campion I'm 21 and from Wexford in the Republic Of Ireland.
I'm about to begin my fourth and final year of Computer Games Development in I.T Carlow, and have just finished a four month course in Game Design in the Hogeschool Van Amsterdam.
Game Design and Usability are two fields that interest me very much. I've come to GameCritics to learn more about Game Criticism and to try some myself. Here is my first review posted to the site for Alan Wake:The Signal http://www.gamecritics.com/forums/sh...558#post186558

Re: New People, Please Introduce Yourselves
Hi my name is Claire, I just recently bought a Nintendo DS XL and I love it. I lucked out and found Naruto Path of the Ninja 2 for like five dollars brand new ... I love the Anime of Naruto, and all the Yugioh Series and well just all of them. I am 47 I live in Canada. I am so glad for this forum it is great. I am actually hoping to learn how to build up Shikamaru Nara (奈良 シカマル) Jutsu on my game. That one I can not figure out.
Thanks for being here

Well I can't answer for all the ladies out there, but for me it is because is he is deep, dark and mysterious. And to be the only one left of his clan that is brother left alive. That kind of pulls at the heart strings when it comes to Sasuke. Well there you have it lol that is why I love Sasuke.

Re: New People, Please Introduce Yourselves
Hello Siran12 nice to meet you. I am new here as well. It is a great place to come to learn all sorts of things about your favorite games. So what sorts of games do you play? I am nearing the end of my Naruto Path of the Ninja 2 but I have a big scary dude to fight . We battled for like three hours yesterday before I lost. LOL good fun.

What's up everyone
I'm Igor N. I'm atteding Maples Collegiate in Winnipeg, I've been playing games since I was 5 years old when I got a SEGA Genesis...now when I'm playing the PS3/PSP I'm writing reviews which I've staretd doing since 2007. My other activities are programming, electronics and I did minor machinima styled voice acting with my friends for battlefield heroes & garry's mod.
Hope you guys like my reviews and feel free to add my as a friend on PSN: GAMEWIZ_101

Re: New People, Please Introduce Yourselves
Hello, my name is Helder, I'm 32 years old, I'm portuguese and I live in Oporto (Portugal).
I'm a psychologist and an hardcore gamer since my 8/9 years when I got my first computer (spectrum).
I always played in computers: Spectrum, Amiga and PC's, never got into consoles mainly because I seem to be unable to use those gamepads!
At the moment I've a dual-boot system with Seven and Ubuntu, I use Ubuntu for everything but gaming (though I do a little gaming in Ubuntu too).
Regarding favourite games, I love simulations (driving, flying, managing), action-rpg mix games (mass effect like), turn-based strategy (Civ series) and also sports.
If I had to chose 10 top games ever (without any order):
-SWOS
-CM/FM series (if I had to name one CM93')
-R-Factor
-X-Plane
-Civ series (if I had to name one, civ3)
-PES (if I had to name one, WE9LKE)
-Mass Effect (both!)
-GTR series (if Ihad to name one, GT Legends)
-Freespace2
-Cannon Fodder

Re: New People, Please Introduce Yourselves
Hello everyone.
I'm Guillermo Heras, from Murcia (in Spain). I'm 28 years old, married and father of a little boy and a (more) little girl. I play in PC, PS3, Wii and DS.
And I have a question, something that has made me register in the forum so I can find an answer... In the reviews, where do appear the final value (the number between 1 and 10 or wahtever it is)? I can't find it, but the reviewers and the users talk about them and it's making me go maaaad.
