Well I finally beat Final Fantasy Tactics (for the PS1). Pretty great game. I loved the job system, the art style, and the fact that it was absurdly difficult at times.
I'd played the first half several times over the years, but always got distracted before I could finish it. It feels good to tie up loose ends like that.

Ys 4: The Dawn of Ys is down for the count.
Y'know if they actually went balls out with it, I feel like they really could have had something cool with the whole "each Ys game pertains to a revisionist idea of some historical mythic culture" angle, but the way they do it just makes them seem lazy.
The 4th game obviously was supposed to have some Aztec-y overtones, but aside from a single symbol that looked like aztec art and a "city of gold" that didn't look gold or aztec in any way when you finally get there, it's just the same fantasy setting as always.
It also was the least interesting Ys to me that I've played.
Onward to Ys 6 I guess. Ys 5 doesn't have a english translation patch yet

Finished that damned Impossible Mission on DS. It was sort of cool in a mega-retro way, but it needed some re-examination of the level designs and just a general retooling overall (and i'm talking about the "new" mode which was revamped, not the original version included on the cart.)
it wasn't horrible, but i'm glad it was only $10...

Damn, following up to my own post again. = P
Anyway, just finished Secret Agent Clank on PSP, and it was a complete pile of $h!t. Worst game in the R&C series, by a mile.
I may do a review if i've got the time, but if nothing else, don't waste any time or money on it.

I rarely get to finish games that I like and you finish games that you don't even like. Something is wrong with that.

I don't get to play games as much as I would like to. I also don't focus on one game at a time. After awhile I get too backed up to finish the older games that I started.
I was a little excited that they made a Monkey King game... and then I saw it was a shooter. That doesn't make sense to me. I'll keep a look out for the review.
