IGN has posted some new screens of The Conduit for the Wii. It's not looking back, but this game has a real Perfect Dark Zero vibe to it. I picked the sexiest, and most pyrotechnic, shots I could find, but there are many shots with boring architecture and one or two non-descript enemies walking up to you. I hope High Voltage Software takes the next few months adding more life or personality to those levels.
I played this at PAX and talked to the Chief Creative Officer... he swore up and down that he'd love to do an interview but as yet, he's been a no-show. I'll refrain from further comment until i know for sure whether or not he's gonna get back to me. if nothing else, the game gets props for being a "core" game on the Wii... not like they've got a lot of competition there.
High Voltage Software is pulling out all the stops with The Conduit. It now confirms support for the Wii MotionPlus and even WiiSpeak. Fanboys have no excuse when this game bombs at retail.
Third-party developer High Voltage Software has catapulted itself into the limelight with its Wii-exclusive first-person shooter, The Conduit. Ever since IGN first broke the story on the game, the developer has repeatedly stated it's been in no particular rush to find a publisher for the anticipated project.
Until recently, anyway. Last we spoke with High Voltage's Eric Nofsinger, he noted that after a long decision process, the company had finally decided on a publisher -- one to be revealed soon.
Sooner than we thought, perhaps. SEGA recently posted a 'The Conduit' folder to its public FTP site, indicating that the giant publisher could be the one set to back the Wii title.
An official announcement is expected before the end of the week.
