I downloaded Dear Esther and tried it, thought the idea was alot more interesting than the actual execution. Also, I disliked the 'gliding around like a swan' feel of it. Would've liked a more natural feeling of walking.
I don't not finish their games because of their length, it has more to do with interest level. Increasingly, games just don't interest me like they used to. I think it has to do with being challenged by the story or characters. I loved Enslaved for that reason. It raised questions and didn't answer them for you. That's an experience I relish when playing a game, but not one I find very often.
