His movies always scream with proud "i am a B-movie and i don't care" but beside his noise making he never made characters so awkward, as they were sometimes in this movie.
Certainly there are even better choices but he is the expert on Final Destination on the world scale.
I loved The Crow and Dark City, but I think starting with I Robot Proyas lost a bit of his skill level.
