Yes there is a point to this post, I just beat the main quest of oblivion. And honestly

Going to every city to ask for help only to have to go close an Oblivion gate(barring Kvatch obviously) was the most tedious think i have ever done. Fair each gate is different, but I started it when i was level 20, so everything I fought on the way up was either a Storm atronach, a Spider Daedra, Or a high level Dremora with a Claymore, not particularly fun. In the end I wound up just constantly casting Invisibility and legging it up the towers.

Yeah it doesn't sound very fun but I guess it's a challenge. Plus the Vile Lair download has a guy you can feed on at any and all times.

However because of teh patch, I don't have the gold cheat to be a rich mofo at the beginning of the game. I'd have to delete the patches, which I don't feel like doing right now.

Those gates were really annoying. Oblivion works best when you're interacting and role playing, not dungeon crawling. That's why the Dark Brotherhood quests were the best: Because it was about manipulation and deceit, not just straight up head bashing.
