Re: So where do you get your gaming news...?

Even though I no longer have a subscription to the service, lately I've been using the Shack News feed through the GameFly app. For me, considerably better than the way too long "news" articles on...

Re: Why you game

I would pick one game from the consoles I've had the most experience with, but even that makes it hard to keep the list short

NES - Super Mario Bros. 2
GameBoy - Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening...

Re: The Legend of Zelda III in less than five minutes

Personally I think the best Zelda game is the one inspired by Link to the Past: Link's Awakening! Then again, the third installment is still in my backlog, so I guess I can't truly say definitively.

Re: What are you playing right now?

Still playing Hotel Dusk in small spats. Not really the best game to play in small segments spread out over lengths of time, but I still want to finish. May take a while.

Also played a little...

Re: Best 'Current Gen' memories?

Well nobody else is posting more, so I'll add another:

Goldeneye 007 (Wii) It's amazing how low expectations can turn into something so well done. This remake could have been all kinds of wrong...

Re: Best 'Current Gen' memories?

L.A. Noire The more and more removed I am from playing this game, the more and more I enjoy and appreciate the quality. I'm glad Rockstar took a chance in this detective-type game. Extra bonus for...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (DS) - So far, so good. A different type of game that's good in casual spurts.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Little jealous. Wish I could find a reasonably priced Trilogy edition. I absolutely love the Wii controls for Corruption and would like to be able to use the same controls for the first two.

I...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
What a fantastic game. Have never played the second in the Prime series but I'm tempted to hunt down a copy now that I've finished the third.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Dragged a little at the end, especially the jungle. The prison wasn't too bad, but I thought it was moronic that you could not go back to the main island. I didn't have time to go back for other...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Already mentioned in earlier post, but started Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii) yesterday. So far so good.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

And now, I too have finished. Plowed through the last 15% of the main story. Still enjoyed the game overall. The drop-in, drop-out multiplayer was good fun, just wish I would have done more (my Gold...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Dead Island (360): about 60% through the main story. Enjoyable, mindless fun. Even getting "lost" playing some of the side missions. Heard the game is notorious for glitches, but so far only had one....

Re: 2013

Lots of games are coming out that I want to play, but chances are I won't play until they are a couple years old!

Rayman: Legends looks amazing, but I don't have a WiiU. Pikmin 3 and Game & Wario...

Re: Last movie impressions

Watched Contagion last night. Overall a well done movie. Maybe a few too many characters to focus on, which left a few things unadressed at the end.

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

L.A. Noire (360) First 2/3 kept me hooked, first cases of the arson desk kind of dragged, but the ending was solid.

Re: Sports Games

NES sports games are still some of my favorites. Blades of Steel still sees action and Super Spike V-Ball is great multiplayer as well. The latter can also be found on the same cart as NES World Cup,...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Ahhh, gotcha. In that case I have gotten lost in L.A. Noire as well. I rarely sit down to play without completing an entire case per sitting. Not the best game to start late at night, but really...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Haven't gotten lost in L.A. yet. In fact I am finding Noire to be somewhat linear, especially compared to Red Dead Redemption. Just haven't diverged from the main quests and wandered around like I...

Re: What company do you feel needs to have the best show at E3?

Nintendo. As already mentioned above, Nintendo needs to show why people need to invest in their next system. For starters, maybe they should reveal a new name. It would probably help if they had a...

Re: What are you playing right now?

L.A. Noire (360) Had read some mixed reaction to this game, with many people citing that it did not live up to its potential. Can't say that I agree. I am fully immersed in this game and really enjoy...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

I was actually somewhat excited for Armageddon when it first came out, but then I played the demo. Just didn't do enough for me, so I never did pick up a copy.
