Re: Fan gets tasered, hilarity ensued

Cops are way too taser happy. They should only be used in situations which would call for a gun. They're in the habit of using them for compliance.

Re: DisKinected

I have been to a pub, it was a thoroughly unenjoyable experience. Drunk people are stupid, and there's no point in hanging out with people whose idea of fun is getting hammered. "Dude, I got so drunk...

Re: Please rate this review: Geometry Wars Retro Evolved

Because of how scoring works, any sort of high score, and as a result, getting lots of lives and bombs, is dependant on how long you last before dying the first time. If you can survive for 4...

Re: Please rate this review: Geometry Wars Retro Evolved

Incorrect.

Read the last sentence of the last paragraph.

I'm saying there's no point in paying for it, not that it's too hard for me. I enjoy difficult games just fine, but having to play a...

Re: Please rate this review: Modnation Racers!

I like the content of the review, it gives me a good idea of what the game is like, and has some info that other reviews didn't include, so kudos on that. The review could use some proof reading...

Please rate this review: Geometry Wars Retro Evolved

"OMG! You're shooting shapes with other shapes!"

High: Getting my first two achievements.

Low: Realising they were my last.

WTF: Two plus two equals negative four?

Geometry Wars Retro...

Re: DisKinected

Maybe not? Pub-goers in Canada and the US aren't people I like to know, although they apparently account for something like 95% of the population in England, so I might have to make some exceptions...

Re: 6% buy DLC

I think that's what concerns devs about the used game market. As far as bang for buck goes playing the older ones is much better. But from a dev perspective, the time investment and cost investment...

Re: DisKinected

I don't want to meet the type of people who go to a pub.

Latin & swing dancing is also much more fun as a group activity than MTV style dancing, which is all about choreography on a stage. I...

Re: The Game critics blog posts seem to be stifling it's Forum

I have a preference for forums over blog comments, perhaps it's because I feel forums are somehow more equal, and the other part is that posting a comment is of little use to me, and only slightly...

Re: How old should the default view of threads go back?

I absolutely hate it when a thread I know is there disappears because of how old it is, particularly when some javascript error prevents me from changing the default setting. It's always better to...

Where are the review scores?

I don't particularly mind not seeing a score, but given that all the "Please rate this review" forum posts have scores, I'm surprised to not be seeing them when I read the reviews on the main site....

Re: 6% buy DLC

I disagree, if they realise they can get money the easy way, they'll keep doing it instead of putting the work into making an actually good game.

Re: GameStop's idea of "new"

It's the condition of the disc that really matters, and the reason they do that is because gamers are far more prone to stealing than customers of other stores. GameStop has to keep the actual discs...

Re: Iphone Plants Vs. Zombies

That makes sense, the Xbox 360 version doesn't offer enough for a 4th purchase, unless you get a ton of VS play out of it.

Re: XBLA Game Room

If that was the plan, all they would need to do is let you link any title to the game room, really set it up however you like. If you have achievements for the game, you can set it up there, and...

Re: DisKinected

At the price of Kinect + a dance game, I'd rather spend money on dancing lessons.

Re: 6% buy DLC

That's an interesting stat, as THQ has speculated about releasing a title for $30 and releasing the other half as DLC, but if only 6% buy DLC, then it's really not worth it for them to do that?

Re: Please Rate this Review: Heavy Rain Second Opinion

I think what you could do is substitute in some fake names and leave out the part about Scott Shelby being a PI, and otherwise I think it covers it.

Interestingly enough, your review did more to...

Re: Please Rate this Review: Elder Scrolls 4

I liked the content, it was accurate, and everything you said was reflected in my own experiences playing the game, although I felt you were too generous with the score, but since you liked it, fair...

Re: Used Games Debate

Gamefly lets you rent games, and if you decide to keep them you pay the difference. It works out well I think.

Re: Iphone Plants Vs. Zombies

I got into this series with the iPod touch, and while it's appealing, you're getting a lot less for the price. The PC version has far more features, and controls just as well. Since trying the Xbox...

Re: XBLA Game Room

My issue with this is the lack of clarity, I thought it was a free game, but it isn't. I set it up, explore a bit, unlock a couple achievements, decide it's not for me and find it's poluting my...

Re: Limbo

My issue with Limbo is that it's never going to come down in price, as it's an arcade title, barring some sort of unexpected 50% off sale in the future, and that's probably when I'd get it (if it...
