Re: Dark Souls 2

I don't think I'll get it either. My brother is still playing through it (at the Shrine of Amana) and it's reminding me what a slog it was.

Re: Spain in the ass

Glad to see Brazil get eliminated, they were stinking up the whole tournament. Retribution was sweet.

Holland should be too strong for Argentina this evening but anything could happen. Enjoying...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

PS It uses Uplay; I didn't have to sign up for, or log into this on console (I could just ignore it), but it may be different for PC. I don't know.

Re: What are you playing right now?

Tried playing Shadow of the Colossus again; the mechanics have defeated me for the second time. I didn't even get past the first Colossus this time (last time I got to #2).

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Hmm, I would recommend it, I think, but bear some things in mind.

It's a simplistic puzzle-platformer with a pretty great art style, as you can see from the screenshots. Gameplay consists of...

Re: Spain in the ass

Latest odds

Brazil 13/5
Germany 13/5
Argentina 5/2
Holland 7/2

Very surprised to see the Netherlands taking up the rear there, as they are obviously the best team left in the...

Re: What are you playing right now?

I'm having trouble finding something to play that actually catches my attention. I decided to play a bit more Demon's Souls on PS3 with the PS4 controller now that it works, but it doesn't work for...

Re: 50 games in 2014

Fourteen games is pretty impressive, you have to admit. It's only not impressive when you compare it to the 26 games you should have played by now, which isn't really a fair comparison! :)

I see...

Re: Spain in the ass

Someone will emerge. It's not that hard finding a keeper if the defence is decent :)

The two QFs so far have been pretty underwhelming. I've been more or less done with football this last couple...

Re: What are you playing right now?

FINALLY

Got Harem Multiball on Tales of the Arabian Nights, completing the standard table goals. At least I've got that monkey off my back. At long last!

Valiant Hearts - The Great War (PS4)

An Ubisoft game I enjoyed! :P

Interesting mostly for it's graphical style,...

Re: Spain in the ass

The USA are a good team. They usually qualify for the WC and once there they outplay their talent level. I hope they do well, and they have a good chance of beating Belgium who have flattered to...

Re: What are you playing right now?

I just can't make that shot with any consistency, I don't know what's wrong with me! Tried for a whole hour yesterday and the most I got was 4/5. Grrrr.

Hmm, it might. I'll have a look,...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Have never played Uncharted 1; I enjoyed 2 when I played it but don't remember too much about it apart from one or two big set pieces. Maybe don't get your hopes up too much :p

3 is poor.

In...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Very little. Bought the Pinball Arcade season one tables again in the ps4 (half price) and have mostly been playing those. The harem sneak in and the 5x bonus on Tales and Genie continue to elude me...

Re: Spain in the ass

Farid is another Dutchman? :)

Can we all agree that Robben is the most annoying footballer ever? It's like he was created in a lab for that express purpose.

Looking forward to England Uruguay...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Trine 2 Complete (PS4)

Well, Trine 2, the main campaign. The Complete version seems to include at least two if not three more campaigns.

I find myself agreeing with another Richard review ...

Re: The E3 thread!

I haven't followed it but I read last night's Twitter sidebar on Gamecritics this morning and those tweets were amusing enough. Same old same old.

So are we saying that Next Gen is going to be a...

Re: What are you playing right now?

If the above-mentioned wizard sounds like the worst wizard ever, not only does he stack crates, but he is able to make them materialise out of thin air. Pretty impressive I am sure you'll agree.

Re: What are you playing right now?

More mechs?

I am playing (and have been totally surprised by) Trine 2 Complete (PS4 PS+ freebie).

It's great. It's a puzzle platformer where you control one avatar at a time but can switch...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Transistor (PS4)

Eventually went back to this and finished it off in a few long-ish sessions.

I got into it a lot more and finished the game massively impressed. The setting and visuals were...

Re: Dark Souls 2

Will you be getting the DLC? I'm not sure; I thought I was done with it but I felt a slight urge to go back today when thinking about it.

Re: What are you playing right now?

Hey now! :p

I know I won't like it, as I haven't liked an Ubi game for the last forever, and this appears to be more of the same, but I think we are all fairly grounded here and like a decent mix...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

I liked the character interaction well enough in The Last of Us, but I didn't much like the gameplay, so that was a big stumbling block to enjoying the game. I find stealth gameplay fairly tedious,...
