Re: Countdown to Transformers

Okay, my wife and I just saw it, with a surprisingly lively crowd on the last showing of a Sunday night. I'm so eating my words now. Sure there are flaws, and I don't need to see it again, but the...

Re: Best PS2 Star Wars game?

Thanks folks -- we do have Lego SW (the prequel version) and it's cool but we hardly have the time to play together. Adelleda, you seemed to hit all the criteria I put out there with Star Wars:...

Best PS2 Star Wars game?

I need a Star Wars fix! I've been going crazy waiting for the TV show and lately I've been reduced to watching my Clone Wars dvd and debating OTvPT on internet forums . . . help!

I can't play...

Re: Dragon Quests ( Warriors )

If you wanna get a feel for the series and its subtle pleasures, then DQ7 is a good place to start. But if you only play one of them, then DQ8 is a must.

Re: Flaws in videogame

(Or trial-and-error, my own pet peeve.) Can you give an example of this, the "good kind" of hard game?

Re: Children of Men - Film Impressions

Interesting way of putting it. I liked it a lot, but not as much I'd expected to from the hype. What I did like was the intriguing go-out-with-a-whimper apocalyptic concept, the gritty realism, the...

Re: Should non-gaming related blog posts be promoted on the homepage?

I would actually vote yes. I think of 411mania as an example -- started as a wrestling site, and the columns became really fun to read and popular partly because they would go off on tangents that...

Re: Flaws in videogame

I chose poor plot, if only because RPG's are my thing, and the only time I ever walked away from an RPG -- one that I was actually enjoying in terms of gameplay, music, and visuals -- was Wild Arms 2...

Re: This Forum is Dead

Well, I disagree with you about Kant, and I don't know / remember Nicato well enough to really respond to that charming two-for-the-price-of-one character sketch. (Unless we're talking about two...

Re: This Forum is Dead

I dunno if you're joking, naboo, but in case you aren't, I knew Kant. Nicato is definitely, not, Kant. No offense intended to either of them, but the difference is like night and day.

Re: Countdown to Transformers

Nice description. The only ingredient that would make all that look attractive is LIGHTSABERS. Now will there be LIGHTSABERS in this movie? Will there? I didn't think so. :)

Re: What's your favorite foreign (i.e. non-American) movie?

Although I agree with the love for Nausicaa and disdain for Mononoke, oddly enuff Spirited Away is one of my faves and Porco Rosso didn't hit me. Maybe Ghibli films are a very personal experience. ...

Re: Anybody catch the Oscars?
