Re: Bioshock 3

Looks like they're trying this time. Will wait for gameplay videos. Maybe 90% of the game is spent indoors that looks suspiciously like Rapture without all the sexy water damage.

Re: Its been 10 minutes, time to comlain about Microsoft

That's only if the game doesn't sell. Any game that sells decently won't get a price drop for years unless a sequel is announced. From the little I've read, Shadow Complex is a pretty big hit. I...

Re: StarCraft 2

I can't think of a single RTS with base-building where that rule doesn't apply. Even in newer RTSs, where you have "heroes", "commanders" or whatever the hell they call them now, the advantage is...

Re: Games we wanted to like, but didn't

Bioshock and Dragon Age, for sure.

I'd also like to mention EVE Online. I really tried to like that game because I had a deep appreciation for the player-driven economy and open world and...

Re: Ebert says video games cannot be art

To that I agree; leisure activity in general could be considered a waste of time and aimless. Video gaming just has a mild social stigma attached.

I think social acceptance is coming quickly for...

Re: P90x

It depends on what you are looking for in a workout. P90X is high-intensity calisthenics (body weight exercises), which puts you in very good shape. Unfortunately, many men confuse "in shape" with...

Re: Ebert says video games cannot be art

I think Ebert makes a lot of good points, and his final paragraphs mirror my opinion on the matter.

Why are gamers so adamant about admitted games as art?

Either way, art has never been...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

While away from gamecritics (IE8 hated it):

Finished Killzone 2 single player. For some reason I put off trying multiplayer until I finish single player (sort of a "get used to the controls"...

Re: Red Dead Redemption

I have to say real impressive game at first. I like Westerns and this game is like a direct-your-own-Western-movie. That's the good and the bad. I can say that hunting birds and fast-moving animals...

Re: Bioshock 2

I played ME, then ME2, then ME again (for different ending), then playing ME2 again. It made me realize how much better ME2 is than ME. As far as Bioshock 2 goes, I have no interest because Bioshock...

Re: Man Sues GameStop For Deceptive Used Game Sales

He likely wanted to make a public statement and make some news. It doesn't sound like he tried escalating his complaint with customer service first, which usually gets the money back. I'll give him a...

Re: Mass Effect 2: Tell me of your Shepard

I was actually laughing through the whole boss fight. That *meeeeeeeggggh* sound while it wobbled back and forth like a Frankenstein Monster was just ridiculous.

Re: Mass Effect 2: Tell me of your Shepard

I don't have the DLC but I recall a scrolling message somewhere warning that you should reset your controls to default before using the hovertank. That might be your problem.

Re: Mass Effect 2: Tell me of your Shepard

Finished a playthrough of Mass Effect 2 finally, with my mean-looking vanguard Shepard with an awesome mustache. Awesome, awesome game. I'm also glad I rushed the ending the first time. Saving...

Re: Bioshock 2

I used to keep up with the Unreal Tournament re-releases and it's like abfackeln says. Competitive gaming has a longer shelf life so it was nice to see them try to keep up with new hardware, add more...

Re: Final Fantasy XIII

I don't think I've truly enjoyed playing a Final Fantasy game since FFIII (US) but I've also played them all for over 80 hours except for FFVIII. I can't say anything glowing about them except that...

Re: Knights of the Old Republic 2

Fantastic game, but without spoiling too much, there is an obvious point where the devs just ran out of time/money. Lots of loose ends.

Re: Whats your dream MMO?

My Dream MMO would be like EVE Online only fun to play and preferably on solid ground.

I generally think carrying over well-known non-game Intellectual Property - especially Sci-Fi ones is a bad...

Re: Mass Effect 2: Tell me of your Shepard

Mass Effect 2 seems to be one of the few RPGs I've played without that ironic sense of urgency. The darkspawn horde is moving to swallow the whole continent! Quick, deliver these letters of dismissal...
