Re: Questions on Matrix Revolutions

Sorry, I should have clarified the use of the term 'singularity' ( I assumed the context would indicate the play on words). I am referencing the (matrix) universe as both begiining and end. Within...

Re: Questions on Matrix Revolutions

I just think that the (general) response to the Matrix trilogy reflects more on the audience than the films. My suspicion is that they'll be recognised and reclaimed by a generation more sympathetic...

Re: What's your take on Karma and Reincarnation?

Not sure I understand you, but its important to first try and distinguish between facts and values (as many of us normally do). The fact/value distinction is best characterised by Hume who says

Re: Eli Roth's Hostel

I'm not so much amazed by what he tries to get away with, but that actors agree to help him to get away with it. What's shocking is that there is obviously a group of like minded 'weirdos' so...

If history (the relation/s between cause and effect) is by definition revisionist/ethical within Eastern thought, then whose to say what 'karma' is teaching anyone at any given time.

And what...

Re: What's your take on Karma and Reincarnation?

I'd rather not believe in karma (or reincarnation), but I seem to attract particular kinds of situations or people...and often wonder about the possibilty. When I recently asked a buddhist about it,...

Re: Is anybody going to see Ang Lee's gay cowboy movie?

I think there's enough Nicato hating in this thread, troll.

Way to all gang up and pick on
someone perceived to be unpopular. This is an example of legitimating 'social' exclusion as any I've...

Re: Is anybody going to see Ang Lee's gay cowboy movie?
