What are you looking forward to in 2012?
 

What games etc are you looking forward to in the coming year?

I don't actually know what's coming down the line apart from Mass Effect 3; I guess I'll get it, though the ending to the previous installment was fairly jarring.

I've bought Bastion and Terraria in the Steam sale after hearing about them on the GOTY podcast, so will be playing those to see what the fuss is about.

Will also give Dead Island a twirl, though I have my reservations there too. Also, Resistance 3, based on Matthew Kaplan's review on the main site.

Most of the first quarter will be spent checking out games from 2011, I think.

Im not looking forward to anything from the game industry right now, except more saturated marketing of realistic military shooters and awful SquareEnix RPGs...

At least I'm in the frame of mind to be surprised by anything out of the ordinary. :D

Having looked up a list of upcoming AAA games, I must admit I'm looking forward to XCOM (heresy, I know), but not so much Bioshock Infinite.

Also, Borderlands II and Far Cry 3. Far Cry 3 looks a bit odd, it has xp points rising up out of enemies heads when you shoot them, but if it's the same team that made FC2 then I am hopeful it'll be good.

Must also have a look at To The Moon at some stage.

The only game I'm looking forward to is Persona 5. Not sure if it'll get released in 2012, though.

A sequel to SMT: Nocturne would be nice too.

Metal Gear Rising - Revengenance! Please let it be as awesome as Vanquish :D

Since DXHR was pretty good, I'm also looking forward to Dishonored. Let's see how far the new range of deus ex-like games will go.

Furthermore two indie tactics games:

I am also carefully excited about Bioshock: Infinite, Dragon's Dogma and Mass Effect 3.

Rgiht now? FarCry 3. I know the series has problems but even with all it's failures, I enjoyed FarCry 2 quite a lot. I suppose it is my guilty pleasure, alongside League of Legends.
