Nintendo

Electroplankton – Review

Described by artist-creator Tosho Iwai as a mixture of a microscope, a tape recorder, a synthesizer and a Nintendo Entertainment System, the program (which is the safest thing I can call it) makes as much sense as that mission statement seems to. The best way to approach it is to think that it's an experience to be felt with the senses the DS is able to cater to, by its use of touchscreen and button interaction with graphical elements to create sound.

Nintendogs

Game Description: In Nintendogs you'll get to train and care for a a puppy, without having to clean up all those soiled newspapers. As you teach your puppy to obey, it'll start competing in dog shows. See if your dog can earn money you can use to buy new breeds!

Nintendogs – Review

During recent debates on the matter of the emotional impact in gaming, people tend to forget one very important reaction to virtual worlds, a reaction both profound and necessary for a satisfying gaming experience: empathy.

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures – Review

Yes, I know it's a multiplayer game. No, I didn't play it with anyone else. I've finished just about every Zelda game out there, so I figured I'd give this one a whirl too, "connectivity" be damned. The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures

Game Description:  The Legend continues on Nintendo GameCube in an all-new epic adventure for one to four players. Fusing cooperative and competitive action, Four Swords Adventures features a unique gameplay system that incorporates both the television and the Game Boy Advance. When you enter a building or dive into a cave, your character switches from the TV to the Game Boy Advance. When you emerge, the frantic action shifts back to the big screen. To thwart Vaati's nefarious forces, you'll have to master new skills and techniques never before seen in the Legend of Zelda series.

WarioWare: Twisted!

Game Description: WarioWare: Twisted! brings back the fun of teh 5 second microgames that made the first WarioWare such a hit. Dr. Cry-Gor is back and he changes things by adding a new gyroscope to Wario's GBA. Now you can control the action by rotating the entire GBA and pressing the A Button. Along with this new motion sensor, the cartridge has a rumble pack for force feedback. Tons of crazy, spin-controlled games are waiting for you!

WarioWare: Twisted! – Review

It's hard to think of a game more suited to exploiting the fun of a gyroscope sensor—the built-in motion sensor that detects rotations of the GameBoy Advance—than WarioWare, so kinetic and physical were its mini-games even when they merely involved single button presses.
